At the same time, agencies, associations, businesses … are also very happy, support the issuance of this Circular when having electronic labels, businesses will save the cost of label printing as before.

Besides, there are also many opinions that some provisions of the Draft Amending and Supplementing Decree 43/2017 / ND-CP are not reasonable in practice.

An AmCham representative said that the continuous adjustment of labeling regulations is costly and is a barrier for businesses. For example, in Clause 4, Article 9 of the draft Decree amending and supplementing the provisions on the responsibility of labeling goods will cause barriers for importing enterprises.

At the same time, some comments also suggest that the draft amendments to Decree 43/2017 / ND-CP should be clearer and more complete. Especially, the regulations on brand names for machinery and machinery components are imported from abroad or purchases on e-commerce platforms, when delivering goods to Vietnam, there will be no importer’s name.
