In the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam’s coffee exports reached 833 thousand tons, worth 2.9 billion USD, down 3.9% in volume, but up 43.9% in value over the same period last year.

It is estimated that in May 2024, the average export price of Vietnam’s coffee will reach 4,208 USD/ton, up 11.7% compared to April 2024 and up 63.6% compared to May 2023.

In the first 5 months of 2024, the average export price of Vietnam’s coffee is estimated at 3,482 USD/ton, an increase of 49.9% over the same period last year.

In the first 4 months of 2024, Vietnam increased exports of all types of coffee. Of which, Robusta is the main type of coffee exported from Vietnam, with the volume reaching approximately 650,57 thousand tons, worth over 2 billion USD, up 0.4% in volume and 58.4% in value over the same period last year.

The proportion of Robusta coffee exports accounted for 82.17% of the total volume and 82.15% of the total turnover in the first 4 months of 2024. Therefore, the growth of Robusta coffee exports contributed largely to the growth rate of the industry.

In the first 4 months of 2024, the average export price of Vietnam’s Robusta coffee reached 3,157 USD/ton, up 57.8% over the same period last year.
