China’s pork imports decreased

In the first half of 2024, China imported a total of 510,000 tons of pork, down 45.8% over the same period last year (940,000 tons) and much lower than the record value of 2020 (2,120,000 tons). tons) and 2021 (2,300,000 tons), as shown in the chart with quarterly data.
