According to many market observers, the demand for Chinese customers has recently increased sharply. However, the quantity of pepper of this buyer is also difficult to statistic because mainly after penetrating the domestic market to collect, the goods are taken to the northern border by the customers to export along the border.
With the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA), our country's goods, especially agricultural products, are created favorable conditions for export to a large consumer market but do not love. This demand and encourages farmers to increase production.
If including the official export figures announced by the Customs sector plus Chinese customers since the beginning of the crop, the number of Vietnam's pepper exports will increase significantly this year. And it is enough to confirm the number of inventories in the population and in the warehouses of exporters is not much, helping the trend of world pepper prices to increase towards the end of the year.
MG1 Indian black pepper of special grade is being exported to the international market at 7,600-7,700 USD / ton (C&F) while Vietnamese black pepper of 500 Gr / l-FAQ is priced at 6,800 USD / ton and 500 Gr / l-Asta is priced at USD 7,200 / ton, (FOB), prices are maintained at a high level compared to other producing countries.
