“The weather is not favorable, so the amount of fruit and flower is very poor. With an area of ​​2 ha like this, last year gained about 4 tons but this year it is estimated that there are 3 to 4 quintals,” Lap said.

Explaining the cause of the phenomenon of pepper flower loss today, by experience, Mr. Bui Van Ngoi, farmer of Phuoc Thien commune said that, due to hot dry weather, late rain, low air humidity leads to trees hard to flower, fruit set. He also avoided this scene with the 400-cylinder pepper garden of Mr. Ngi's family.

From the functional side, Ms. Le Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Director of Binh Phuoc Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that due to the recent decline in pepper prices, households are also negligent and less effort-consuming. fertilizing, leading to bad development of pepper plants, low productivity, ability to cope with severe weather conditions. On the other hand, in the past, when the price of pepper was high, the farmers' crop conversion happened massively, farmers planted pepper even in places that were not suitable for land conditions, and did not know how to take care of them. .

Ms. Tuyet said: “Regarding the production process, farmers do not follow strictly. For the agricultural sector, we have continually training courses on sustainable farming methods as well as capturing production according to standards. quality standards, ensuring pepper development of healthy and sustainable “.

Pepper growers in Binh Phuoc are facing the risk of crop failure. In addition, the price of pepper has been decreasing recently, currently at VND 41,000 / kg. It is more difficult when farmers pour all their capital for pepper at the beginning of the crop and now have no idea where to find the capital to reinvest in the next crop.
