According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the growth rate of agro-forestry-fishery production in the first six months of the year is estimated at about 2.8%, of which agriculture increases by 2.3% (livestock increased by 5.7%, forestry by 4.3%) .9%, fishery by 4.1%).

In the first half of 2022, the export of main agricultural products is 11.3 billion USD, up 9%; main forest products 9.1 billion USD, up 3%; seafood 5.8 billion USD, up 41%; production input $ 1.4 billion, up 65%; livestock production alone decreased by 16%, reaching 176 million USD.
There are 9 products/product groups with export value of over 1 billion USD, including coffee, rubber, rice, cashew, vegetable and fruit group, pangasius, shrimp, wood products and input group for products. export.
Regarding markets, Vietnam mainly exports agricultural, forestry and fishery products to four markets, including the US, China, Japan and South Korea.
In which, the US is the largest market with export turnover of about 7.6 billion USD, up 8% and accounting for 27% of total export value. Wood and wood products are the main products Vietnam exports to the US, accounting for about 67%.
After the US, China is the second largest export market of Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery products with a turnover of nearly 5 billion USD, up 6% and accounting for 18% of the total export value of the industry.
To achieve the goal of total export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in 2022 about 55 billion USD, higher than the Government’s allocation of 5 billion USD, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that focusing on exporting key products and added value high.
Targets for each sector, including main agricultural products, are 25 billion USD; forest products and wooden furniture 17 billion USD; seafood 10 billion USD; other items about 3 billion USD.
