According to the General Statistics Office, in the first 6 months of 2020, export turnover is estimated at 121.21 billion USD, down by over 1% over the same period last year, of which the domestic economic sector reached 41. , 38 billion USD, up 11.7%, accounting for 34.1% of total export turnover; FDI sector (including crude oil) reached 79.83 billion USD, down 6.7%, accounting for 65.9%.

In the first 6 months of the year, there were 22 items with export turnover of over 1 billion USD, accounting for 86.2% of total export turnover (4 items exported over 10 billion USD, accounting for 52.7%).

In which phones and components have the largest export turnover, reaching 21.5 billion USD, accounting for 17.7% of total export turnover, down 8.4% compared to the same period last year; electronics, computers and components reached 19.3 billion USD, up 24.2%; textiles and garments reached 12.8 billion USD, down 15.5%; machinery, equipment and tools reached 10.3 billion USD, up 25.2%; footwear reached US $ 8.1 billion, down 6.7%; wood and wooden products reached 5 billion USD, up 2.4%; means of transport and spare parts reached 3.8 billion USD, down 11.1%; fishery reached 3.6 billion USD, down 8.3%.

In general, the export proportion of some key products still belonged to the foreign direct investment sector, in which: Phones and components accounted for 91.7%; machinery, equipment and spare parts accounted for 70.4%; footwear accounted for 77.8%; 58% textiles.

Export turnover of some agricultural products in the first 6 months of this year decreased compared to the same period last year such as vegetables and fruits reaching 1.8 billion USD, down 11.4%; rubber reached 606 million USD, down 27.8% (the volume decreased 25.7%); pepper reached 365 million USD, down more than 19% (the volume decreased nearly 3%).

Meanwhile, the items of rice, coffee and cashew nuts increased in both quantity and value, rice reached US $ 1.7 billion, up 19.3% (the volume increased 5.6%); coffee reached 1.6 billion USD, up 2.5% (volume increased 3.7%); cashew nuts reached 1.5 billion USD, up 0.7% (the amount increased 16.6%)
