Due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic, there will be 3 options for Luc Ngan litchi consumption. People's Committee H.Luc Ngan is implementing Option 2 with the scenario: Covid-19 epidemic is under control, but not over.
In this plan, domestic consumption of fresh lychee is about 34,000 tons, exported 36,000 tons and another 15,000 tons to serve juice processing, drying.
Mr. Nam said that China is still the main market. In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, the People's Committee of H. Luan Ngan and Bac Giang province made a list of 309 Chinese merchants to send to the Ministry of Public Security and Border Guard of Lang Son province to allow entry into Vietnam and supervise, coordinate purchasing lychee.
“Information we received, the Prime Minister agreed to allow 309 traders to enter Vietnam and come to buy lychee in Luc Ngan, but must ensure the quarantine regulations for Covid-19,” Mr. Nam said. said.
Chinese traders are isolated in hotels and guesthouses
According to Mr. Nam, the Chinese side is actively coordinating and creating favorable conditions for Chinese traders to come to Vietnam to coordinate the purchase of lychee. China also requires three days before entry into Vietnam, traders must have a negative test result with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Also according to the plan of the People's Committee H.Luc Ngan, right after entering Vietnam, Chinese merchants will be organized to welcome and bring back to isolated areas.
Presently, the People's Committee of H. Lan Ngan has prepared 5 hotels and motels to welcome Chinese merchants to buy isolation cloth for the Covid-19 epidemic room.
After the 14-day quarantine period and conducting the prescribed tests, Chinese traders will be granted quarantine completion certificates and normal lychee purchasing transactions in Bac Giang.
