During the 2014-2019 term, although the pepper industry faced many difficulties when the price of pepper decreased sharply, but the provincial Pepper Association achieved encouraging results.

Currently, the total pepper area of ​​the whole province is about 13,000 hectares, an increase of about 4,000 hectares compared to 2014. In particular, the harvested area is over 11,000 hectares, the average yield of 1.8 tons / ha, the annual output estimated to reach nearly 22,000 tons (up 1.43 times). In order to promote the sustainable pepper industry, the Association has cooperated with the agriculture sector to develop and develop a clean raw material area, producing in a safe way, ensuring food safety and hygiene at the request of the producers. Imported as Japan, Europe … In particular, 1,166 members were mobilized to participate in the project of sustainable pepper development according to Global GAP, SAN standards with an area of ​​1,290 ha in Chau Duc and Xuyen Moc districts. In addition, the Association also built a BR-VT pepper logo, built software for traceability of products, geographical indications …

In the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Pepper Association sets the goal to continue developing the pepper production towards organic. Coordinate with functional agencies to implement and expand sustainable pepper development projects; Building link chains in production and consumption of products; Diversify pepper products such as cranberry pepper, black pepper, milk pepper, salt pepper … under the OCCP program; Implementing logos and codes, bar codes for products that meet quality requirements according to GAP and SAN standards.
