The value of pepper export turnover in the month reached US $ 72.59 million, down US $ 10.46 million, which is down 12.60% compared to the previous month and down US $ 20.79 million, or 22.27% compared to the previous month. in the same period last year.

Accumulated export volume of pepper in the first 4 months of 2020 reached a total of 116,764 tons of pepper of all kinds, an increase of 8,946 tons, an increase of 8.26% compared to export volume in the first 4 months of 2019.

However, in terms of export turnover in the first 4 months of 2020, the total value reached US $ 248.75 million, down US $ 34.09 million, down 12.05% over the same period.

The average export price of pepper in April 2020 reached US $ 2007 / ton, down 2.62% compared to the average export price of March 2020.

According to IPC statistical data, world pepper prices in April 2020 generally increased in some producing countries due to demand for Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. In which, Indonesia ranked first with ASTA black increased by 9.68% and FAQ white pepper increased by 6.75%; Vietnam was next with black pepper 550 Gr / l up 7.46%, black pepper 500 Gr / l increased 7.58% and white pepper FAQ increased 5.15%. In contrast, Indian black pepper prices fell 1.52% as pepper growing states began selling crops to harvest new crops this year.
