Luc Nam is currently the locality with the earliest ripe lychee in Bac Giang province. Products are purchased by traders from the garden to buy at high prices, Bac Giang newspaper reporting.
Specifically, according to Luc Nam District's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the district has more than 1,500 hectares of litchi early, concentrated in the communes of Dong Hung, Binh Son and Bao Dai.
The early litchi varieties are mainly Pink. Due to good care and favorable weather, the fabric output was soon estimated to be over 8,700 tons, nearly 800 tons higher than last year.
Up to now, litchi has begun to be harvested and Luc Nam is also the earliest ripe litchi in the province. Presently, people grow litchi and sell about 10 tons of fruits soon; selling price of 35,000 – 40,000 VND / kg for traders inside and outside the province to buy garden.
In addition to early litchi, the whole district has more than 4,400 hectares of main litchi that is in the stage of fruit development, estimated that this litchi tea production reaches more than 20,000 tons.
Thieu litchi crop this year, the province's output is estimated at 160,000. However, the export market is currently facing many difficulties, especially exports to China and Japan.
According to Mr. La Van Nam, Chairman of Luc Ngan District People's Committee, the district has focused on looking for domestic consumption markets, which towards industrial parks and clusters inside and outside the province. This is a potential market untapped.
At a meeting to promote the consumption of lychee in 2020 on May 12, Mr. Lai Thanh Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Giang People's Committee suggested localities, especially the two districts of Luc Ngan and Tan Yen, where Large lychee area of the province continues to direct people to take care of lychee to ensure quality.
Checking conditions for purchasing, processing and consuming lychee such as ice-making facilities, foam boxes, accommodation establishments … Particularly for Luc Ngan district, it is necessary to prepare the best conditions for the trip. First export car and garden spots to welcome visitors.
