The Philippines is the largest consumer market of Vietnamese rice, accounting for 38.4% of the country's total rice export, accounting for 35.9% of the total turnover, reaching 357,055 tons, equivalent to 154.71 million. USD, up 13.4% in volume and up 23.5% in turnover over the first 2 months of the previous year; Particularly in February 202020, there was a sharp increase of 64.3% in volume and 141.4% in turnover over the previous month, reaching 222,182 tons, equivalent to US $ 93.49 million.

Particularly, the Iraq market in the first two months of 2019 did not participate in Vietnam's rice export market, but in the first two months of 2020, the export volume was very high, 90,000 tons, equivalent to 47.61 million USD – ranked second in the market. school, accounting for nearly 9.7% of the total volume and accounting for nearly 11.1% of the country's total rice export.

Export to Malaysia – the third largest market increased sharply 148.8% in volume and 127.8% in turnover over the same period last year, reaching 94,413 tons, equivalent to 40.11 million USD, accounting for nearly 10, 2% of total volume and 9.3% of total turnover.

Rice exports to China increased sharply, with an increase of 594.5% in volume and 723.6% in turnover, reaching 66,222 tons, equivalent to 37.08 million USD, accounting for 7.1% of the total. amount and accounted for 8.6% of the country's total rice export.

Generally, in the first 2 months of this year, rice exports to most markets increased in turnover over the same period last year; in which, in addition to the Chinese market with the strongest increase as mentioned above, there are also some markets which have increased very strongly such as: France increased 554.1% in volume and 723.6% in turnover, reaching 641 tons, equivalent to $ 0.37 million; Taiwan increased by 214.9% in volume and 257.5% in turnover, reaching 2,151 tons, equivalent to 1.18 million USD; Senegal increased by 171.9% in volume and 197.9% in turnover, reaching 968 tons, equivalent to USD 0.51 million; Russia increased by 218.2% in volume and 156.4% in turnover, reaching 2,625 tons, equivalent to 1.11 million USD.

In contrast, rice exports have declined sharply by 46-94% in both volume and turnover in the following markets: Algeria, Brunei, Ivory Coast and Hong Kong.
