Because there is no money to buy during the Tet holiday, on the other hand, seeing 3 kg of fresh pepper after being processed through many stages is only 1 kg of dry pepper, so the sale of young pepper is still beneficial.
So Ms. Binh sold to traders nearly 500kg of young pepper. “When I saw them buying it, I sold it, at first it was VND 10,000 – 11,000 / kg but then only VND 8,000 / kg. During the year I was stuck with money to spend, so I sold some, now I do not sell anymore because old pepper and to sell. In addition to my family, there are a few households selling in this area but mostly bad pepper gardens, little pepper trees … ”, Ms. Binh said.
Representative of Bu Dop District Agricultural Service said that Bu Dop is one of Binh Phuoc's pepper capitals. “The situation of selling young pepper is happening in the area but not much, mainly appearing in unproductive gardens,” the representative said.
