The market in the week of Christmas showed quite negative reactions. In the local market, black pepper of Malabar was traded with a decrease of 1% compared to last week with an average of 4,686 USD / ton.

Indonesian black and white pepper was reported to be stable at an average of 1,754 USD / ton for black pepper and 3,042 USD / ton for white pepper. Black and white pepper were traded stable and unchanged. Vietnam black pepper recorded a decrease of 1% from the previous week with an average of USD 1,747 / ton. Meanwhile, Vietnamese white pepper was reported stable at an average of USD 2,625 / ton. Sri Lanka black pepper was traded with a 3% decrease from the previous week with an average of USD 3,713 / ton. Chinese white pepper was reported to be stable at an average of USD 4,350 / ton.

This week, the international market showed a stable trend when only India recorded a decrease. FOB price of black pepper in India decreased by 1% as last week with an average of 4,966 USD / ton. Indonesian black and white pepper were reported stable with an average of USD 2,171 / ton for black pepper and USD 3,624 / ton for white pepper. Malaysian black and white pepper continued to be stable and unchanged. Vietnam black pepper 500 g / l and 550 g / l, an increase of 1% from the previous week with an average of 2,345 USD / ton and 2,410 USD / ton respectively. Meanwhile, Vietnam white pepper was reported to be stable at an average of USD 3,495 / ton. Chinese white pepper was stable with an average transaction of USD 4,450 / ton.
