The export price of pepper this year has risen sharply, particularly in the first 9 months, the average export price of pepper reached 5,730 dollars / ton, up 69% over the same period last year, also in October, the export price of pepper average exports up to 7,200 dollars / ton.
In the first 9 months, in addition to the German market, the export volume of pepper decreased by 27.1% compared to the same period last year, most of Vietnam's major export markets grew strongly in both volume and volume. turnover, especially in Egypt, Spain and Singapore, increased by 70-120% in volume and over 200% in value over the same period in 2010.
Domestic pepper prices in the past 10 months continuously increased at a high level, sometimes surpassing 150,000 VND / kg of black pepper with buckets, the highest ever price of Vietnam pepper market. The price of black pepper from 148,000 to 150,000 VND / kg on October 3 increased to a record of 153-154,000 VND / kg on October 7, more than double the average price of the whole year last year only 60-70,000 VND / kg. Currently, the price of black pepper has returned to VND 146,000 – VND 148,000 / kg.
White pepper price was more stable due to low demand, higher price for black pepper, currently reaching VND 190,000 – 195,000 / kg. Similarly, the export price of pepper increased sharply in October, currently the price of black pepper 500g / l FOB reached 7,500-7,700 USD / ton, black pepper 550g / l FOB 8,000 – 8,100 USD / ton, white pepper export. reaching 10,100-10,200 dollars / ton, the highest export price ever in the history of the pepper market.
According to the Center for Informatics and Statistics, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the country's estimated export volume of pepper this year is nearly 139,000 tons, worth more than 864 million dollars.

In Indonesia market, the price of local black pepper at US $ 7,504 / ton, black pepper export price reached US $ 7,900 / ton, increased by 135% and 97.5%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2010. The export price of white pepper was stable in the month reaching US $ 10,600 / ton.
According to traders of pepper trading, low reserves, low global production and high export demand will be factors that keep world pepper prices up in the medium and long term.
