Phu Yen province currently has nearly 800 hectares for pepper cultivation and is expected to reach 2,280 tons this year, an increase of 355 tons compared to 2014. According to the plan of crop restructuring to 2020, Phu Yen province brings the pepper area. 1,000 ha, mainly concentrated in Son Thanh Tay and Son Thanh Dong communes (Tay Hoa district) with an area of ​​750 ha.

Phu Yen Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also organized a workshop on orientation for pepper development with the participation of professional agencies and good pepper farmers.
