According to the survey, pepper price In some key provinces in the country, an increase was recorded with an adjustment of 500 VND/kg.
Currently, key provinces are purchasing pepper at prices ranging from 67,500 VND/kg to 71,000 VND/kg.
Among them, Gia Lai is the locality with the lowest purchasing price at 67,500 VND/kg, no change compared to yesterday.
Next are the three provinces of Dong Nai, Dak Lak and Dak Nong with the same price of 69,000 VND/kg. In which, Dong Nai has adjusted the price slightly by 500 VND/kg and the remaining two provinces still maintain stable prices.
Simultaneously, Pepper price today in Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria – Vung Tau also increased by 500 VND/kg, increasing to 70,500 VND/kg and 71,000 VND/kg respectively.

According to an update from the International Pepper Association (IPC) on October 19 (local time), the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) decreased by 0.68% compared to October 18.
At the same time, the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 and Kuching (Malaysia) ASTA black pepper remained stable.

According to the latest report of Department of Import and Export (Ministry of Industry and Trade)Vietnam’s pepper exports in September 2023 to many markets increased by 2 to 3 digits compared to the same period last year, including: India, Germany, Netherlands, Philippines, Korea…
In contrast, pepper exports to the United Arab Emirates decreased sharply.
Meanwhile, pepper exports to the US market increased in volume, but still decreased in value.
In the first 9 months of 2023, pepper exports to most major markets decreased sharply compared to the same period last year, except the Philippines. For the US market, pepper exports to this market increased in quantity, but decreased in value.
According to statistics from the International Trade Commission, in the first 8 months of 2023, Korea imported pepper reaching 3.26 thousand tons, worth 15.64 million USD, down 45.5% in volume and decreased 45.8% in value compared to the same period last year.
In August 2023 alone, Korea imported 681 tons of pepper, worth nearly 3 million USD, up 1.1% in volume, but down 0.9% in value compared to July 2023, compared to August 2022 increased by 80.6% in volume and 51.6% in value.
