In addition, Vietnamese durian has its own advantages, not afraid of the competition of Chinese durian. However, the Department of Cultivation also advises people not to massively expand the area, which will adversely affect the price and quality of Vietnamese durian. According to the Project on sustainable development of key fruit trees to 2025 and 2030, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development orients that the whole country has about 65,000 – 75,000 ha.
