For China, all businesses that want to export food products to this market must register with the General Department of Customs of this country to receive a code, then be allowed to export.

To ensure its technical requirements, the General Administration of Customs of China has issued Order 248 and Order 249 on “Regulations on registration and management of imported food manufacturing enterprises” and “Measure food safety management for import and export” into the Chinese market.

Dr. Le Thanh Hoa said that at today’s conference, functional agencies such as SPS Office, Plant Protection Department, Management Board of Dong Dang border gate economic zone (Lang Son), Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai… will answer and clarify regulations and problems that businesses are facing in the process of implementing the above 248 and 249 orders.

“It can be said that enterprises operating in the field of exporting goods to the Chinese market now need a very complete system, both in records, in production processes and in monitoring of hazards.” SPS Vietnam office leader affirmed.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Hoa, if these hazards are not monitored, enterprises are always at risk of losing their codes and are not allowed to export to the Chinese market anymore when they are suddenly inspected by the General Department of Customs.

Representatives of the units involved in the process of making documents and granting codes to enterprises exporting to China, Huynh Tan Dat, Deputy Director of the Plant Protection Department, said that enterprises export 18 groups of products from Vietnam. to China now must be issued a code by the General Administration of Customs of China.

Accordingly, each enterprise code must fully declare all relevant information for each enterprise group, product group and production type.

“Over the past time, the Plant Protection Department has coordinated with the Vietnam SPS Office and the General Administration of Customs of China to guide enterprises to register for export codes. By the beginning of 2022, about 270 Vietnamese enterprises have been registered for export codes to the Chinese market, “said Huynh Tan Dat.

Particularly from January 1, 2022 until now, due to the specific declaration requirements for each item and each business code of the Chinese side, we have successfully registered codes for 30 businesses.

However, in the implementation process, there are still many difficulties because enterprises do not understand the regulations of the Chinese side. Therefore, Mr. Huynh Tan Dat reiterated, today’s conference is an opportunity for businesses and localities to have deeper access to the provisions of orders 248, 249.

“The Department of Plant Protection and relevant agencies will also accompany, support and guide businesses and localities to understand the regulations and order to successfully register codes for many businesses so that they can export their products to the Chinese market”, added the Deputy Director of the Plant Protection Department.

Note with durian, passion fruit

At the conference, professional agencies presented guidelines on safe farming as well as the collection, storage and transportation procedures for two new types of fruit allowed to be imported from Vietnam by China. durian and passion fruit.

Accordingly, Dr. Tran Thi My Hanh of the Southern Fruit Tree Institute introduced about the role and methods of integrated pest management in durian and passion fruit production.

Through many forms, from varieties, farming processes or chemical, biological, physical measures, etc., the goal is to maintain the density of the pest below the threshold of economic harm.

Dr. Tran Thi My Hanh said, this process starts from identifying the pests and diseases on the tree, then taking preventive measures such as disease-resistant varieties or making a system to prevent pests. the process of monitoring pests and diseases to take appropriate mechanical, physical, biological or chemical measures.

Once the product is available, the notes during the harvesting, preliminary processing and preservation of durian and passion fruit were shared at the conference by Dr. Le Duc Thong, Institute of Electromechanics and Post-Harvest Technology.

For export durian, it can be harvested when it reaches maturity 3 and then treated with fungal diseases and treated slowly with 1-MCP gas. Next, the fruit is stored at a temperature of about 15 degrees Celsius, which can be maintained for 20-22 days.

“When durian ripens uniformly, the rate of weight loss, the rate of peel cracking is reduced, the rot rate is 0%, and the nutritional and sensory quality after ripening is good,” said Mr. Le Duc Thong. more.

With passion fruit, harvest only when at least 50% of the peel has changed color (purple or yellow). Then the fruit is cleaned, dried, wrapped in plastic and refrigerated at 5 degrees Celsius (purple lemon) and 7 degrees Celsius (yellow lemon). When the requirements in the above procedures are met, passion fruit can be stored for 30-35 days.

Dak Lak is ready to meet the requirements to export agricultural products to China

Talking at the conference, Mr. Vu Duc Con, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that with the strength of agricultural production, in recent years the area of ​​fruit trees in the province has continuously increased, by 2022, reaching nearly 43,000 hectares with many types and objects such as durian, avocado, orange, passion fruit, banana…

Particularly for the Chinese market, Dak Lak has now established 38 planting areas with a total area of ​​more than 1,500 hectares, which has been submitted by the Plant Protection Department to the General Department of Customs of China.
