According to a report by the General Statistics Office, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, in the first seven months of the year, Vietnam’s merchandise exports were estimated at $216.3 billion, up more than 16% over the same period last year.

In which, there are 30 items with export turnover of over 1 billion USD, accounting for nearly 92% of total export turnover. Notably, there are 5 export items with over 10 billion USD, including phones and components with 33.6 billion USD, this is also the item with the largest value in Vietnam’s exports.

The second place is computers, electronic products and components with 31.6 billion USD; other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached nearly 25 billion USD; textiles and garments reached more than 22 billion USD; footwear reached 14 billion USD.

Regarding the structure of export commodity groups in the first seven months of 2022, the group of fuels and minerals accounted for 1.5%; processed industrial products accounted for 88.7%; agricultural and forestry products accounted for 6.7% and fishery products accounted for 3%.

In the opposite direction, the 7-month import turnover of goods was estimated at 215.6 billion USD, up 13.6% over the same period last year with 33 imported items worth over 1 billion USD, accounting for 88 .6% of total import turnover, of which 3 items are imported over 10 billion USD, accounting for 40.8%.

During the period, the group of production materials accounted for 94%, of which the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts accounted for 44%; groups of raw materials, fuel and materials account for 50%. The group of consumer goods accounts for 6%.
