The cumulative export volume of pepper in the first 6 months of 2022 reached a total of 123,641 tons of pepper of all kinds, down 30,316 tons, or 19.69% lower than the export volume in the first 6 months of 2021.
In terms of export turnover in the first 6 months of 2022, it reached a total of 560.22 million USD, an increase of 73.61 million USD, or 15.16 % over the same period.
The average export price of pepper in June 2022 reached $4,134 per ton, down 8.24% compared to the average export price of May 2022.
Pepper prices have dropped continuously in the past few months due to the war in Eastern Europe and the spread of the covid-19 epidemic caused a decline in global consumption, while importers were concerned that the upcoming monetary tightening by central banks to prevent global inflation and a recession in the world economy would cause goods to fall. agricultural products have to bear the high basic interest rate.
