Compared with the pepper gardens grown by the traditional method, his family’s pepper garden has many differences such as: less pests, thicker and greener leaves, especially, it has limited diseases that die quickly and die slowly.

Mr. Thong said that the process of taking care of pepper gardens with more than 1,800 pillars using the biological method that he is applying is quite simple: using only green manure, composted manure, and microbial organic fertilizer to fertilize the plants. when newly planted; When peppering for fruit, add a little inorganic fertilizer to support fruit trees. As a result, each year with 900 business pillars, his family harvested an average of 6-7 tons, earning a profit of over 300 million VND.

Similarly, with 300 pillars of pepper being harvested, Mr. Vu Dinh Tin’s family (in Ea Tan commune) earns a stable profit of over 100 million VND per year. According to Mr. Tin, achieving such results is because in recent years, under the direct guidance of agricultural extension officers, he has developed pepper in a sustainable way. Currently, his family’s pepper garden is growing well and giving increasing productivity.

According to Mr. Tin’s experience, pepper often generates pests and diseases mainly in the rainy season, so digging drainage ditches and watering plants is important. Besides, he often prune the branches close to the ground to limit the spread of pathogens from the soil to the trunk.

In the past years, most of the pepper area in the district has not been properly cared for according to science and technology, moreover, people are racing to grow widely, so epidemics occur a lot, causing mass death of pepper and many families. fall into debt. Therefore, people now pay great attention to taking care of their family’s garden in the direction of sustainable development.
