At the same time, wood industry enterprises have launched a series of anti-commercial fraud solutions, restructuring directly into the world’s high-traction products such as living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and many other products. other intermediaries to improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese wood”.

LOOK THE “BUTTON BUTTON” TO COMPLETE THE OBJECTIVE

According to Mr. Do Xuan Lap, the current trend of exporting wood and wood products is focusing on high value-added items such as wooden frame chairs, living room and dining room furniture, bedroom furniture… These are all strong Vietnamese products.

In the current situation, although wood industry enterprises still face many difficulties, such as labor shortage, the price of wood materials continues to increase, but enterprises still have to continue to produce because orders have been placed. before.

“Currently, most of the wood industry enterprises have received orders until the end of the third quarter and even the end of 2022. With positive results achieved in the first months of 2022, the export of wood and products is forecasted. Vietnam’s timber in the first half of 2022 will increase by 5-8% over the same period in 2021.

Mr. Do Xuan Lap, Chairman of Vifores

The main factors that promote the wood industry to continue to grow positively in the coming time are: Vietnam’s wood enterprises have many advantages compared to wood furniture exporting countries, because China does not encourage the development of wooden furniture, and fees increase.

While Italy, Germany and other developed countries are reducing production due to the effects of recession and high costs, as timber supply is limited by the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, maintaining and expanding export market share, actively promoting trade in wood and wood products in major markets such as the US, Japan, Korea, EU, China and expanding new markets. has great potential and effectively implements Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) between Vietnam and countries around the world.

According to Vifores, at this time, the Covid-19 pandemic has gradually been “settled” in most countries, offices and offices have reopened. Therefore, the item that is in high demand in the coming months is office furniture.

Asia-Pacific is the main manufacturing region, accounting for 52% of the world office furniture production market share, followed by North America with 24%, Europe in third with 19% of total production worldwide. world.

After decreasing 10% in 2020 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, by 2021, global office furniture production will reach 52 billion USD, up 10% compared to 2020.

The office furniture segment has very positive prospects, however, Vietnam’s office furniture production has not focused on this segment. Therefore, Vietnam’s office furniture export turnover still accounts for a low proportion in the world market. Therefore, this time will be an opportunity for exporters of this item to exploit and promote exports in the near future.
