Ms. Hoang Thi Lien will officially assume the position on January 15, 2014, replacing Mr. Gunaratne WDL (Sri Lankan) as IPC Executive Director for 3 years from 2014 to 2016.

Hoang Thi Lien, 42 years old, is a Master in Development Economics, University of London (UK), who has extensive experience in international trade. Prior to being the Director General of the Multilateral Trade Ministry / Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mrs. Hoang Thi Lien was the first secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia for 6 years. Previously, she was Head of Southeast Asia Department of CSTMD / Ministry.
