According to the preliminary data report of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, pepper exports in February 2022 reached 14,507 tons, down 1,277 tons, or 8.09% lower than the previous month, but increased by 1,079 tons, ie an increase. 8.04% over the same period last year.

The export turnover in the month reached 65.97 million USD, down 8.21 million USD, or 11.07% lower than the previous month and up 27.04 million USD, ie 69.49% higher than the same period last year. last year.

The cumulative export volume of pepper in the first 2 months of 2022 reached a total of 30,158 tons of pepper of all kinds, down 133 tons, or 0.44% lower than the export volume of the first 2 months of 2021.

In terms of export turnover in the first two months of 2022, it reached a total of 139.66 million USD, an increase of 52.11 million USD, or 59.51% increase over the same period.

The average export price of pepper in February 2022 reached US$4,548/ton, down 3.23% compared to the average export price of January 2022.

Besides, having entered the harvest of a new crop in Vietnam, importers want to wait for abundant supply and subdued prices. The reason for the decline was attributed to unfavorable weather at the beginning of the crop.
