Compared to the beginning of the week, the two provinces of Dong Nai and Gia Lai both decreased by 2,000 VND/kg, recording the threshold of 67,000 VND/kg and 68,000 VND/kg respectively.
Similarly, after reducing 1,500 VND/kg, the provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria – Vung Tau are currently trading in the range of 69,000 – 71,000 VND/kg.

In particular, the price of Malabar black pepper in India has maintained its upward momentum in the past three weeks. In Indonesia, both black and white pepper products are stable in terms of prices, although the transaction quality is less.
According to the Commodity 3, the pepper industry of Vietnam and Brazil continued to see revenue increase thanks to high prices, although most trade sources see this as a short-term trend.
Compared with the first four months of last year, Vietnam’s exports decreased by 20% in volume to 93,550 tons, while revenue increased by 15% to 284.0 million USD. The US and UAE are the main importers, accounting for 21% and 6% of the total volume, respectively.
For Brazil, international sales fell 2% year-on-year to 32,450 tons and down 32% in value to $84.4 million. The UAE, Vietnam and Germany are the main importers, accounting for 12%, 11% and 11% of total exports, respectively.
