The group of main agricultural products is estimated at US $ 17 billion, down 5.2%, accounting for 45.7% of export turnover; main forest products reached 10.2 billion USD, up 20.5% and accounted for 27.5% of export weight; fishery was estimated at 7.9 billion USD, down 1.2%, the proportion accounted for 21.3%; husbandry is estimated at 638 million USD, up 6.5% and accounting for 1.7% of the proportion.

In particular, the export value of some items increased over the same period last year, such as rubber increased by 9.3%; tea increased by 16%; vegetables by 9%; wood and wooden products by 19.5%; cinnamon increased by 31%; bamboo and rattan, sedge increased by 44.4%; livestock products increased by 6.5%.

However, there are some agricultural products with lower export turnover such as fruit with 2.6 USD exports, down 5.5%.

Cashew nuts, pepper and rice, though the export volume increased over the same period in 2018, but due to a sharp decline in the average export price, the export value decreased.

Specifically, cashew nuts reached US $ 3 billion, down 1.8% in value, but the volume increased by 23.6%, rice reached US $ 2.6 billion, down 9.4% in value, the amount increased by 4.8%. , pepper reached 677 million USD, down 5.8% but the volume increased 23.3%; Particularly, coffee decreased both in value and volume, export value reached 2.5 billion USD, down 15.2%, the volume decreased 22.7%.

China is still the largest export market of Vietnam's agricultural products, accounting for 26.9% of total exports; followed by the US with 21.9%; EU accounts for 11.7%; ASEAN accounts for 10.1%; Japan accounts for 8.8% and Korea accounts for 5.8%.

In the opposite direction, for 11 months, import turnover of buttocks, forestry and fishery products was estimated at US $ 28.5 billion, down 0.7% compared to the same period in 2018.

Thus, as of November, the total import-export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in 11 months was estimated at 65.7 billion USD, the agricultural sector had a trade surplus of 8.8 billion USD, 1.5 billion USD higher than the same period last year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the export turnover is expected to reach about 41.3 billion USD, the trade surplus will be about 9.5 – 10 billion USD.
