In the first 4 months of 2025, Vietnam coffee exports recorded an impressive growth in value, especially in the Mexico market, where the export turnover increased 54 times compared to the same period in 2024. As a result, Mexico has surpassed China, becoming Vietnam’s 9th largest coffee consumption market.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, the total amount of coffee exported in the first 4 months of the year reached nearly 666,000 tons, earning 3.8 billion USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume decreased by 9.4%, but the value increased sharply by 51.8%, thanks to the average price of 5,700 USD/ton, an increase of 67.6%.
Among the main export markets, Germany continued to lead with a turnover of US $ 628 million, up 97.6% and accounting for 16.9% of Vietnam’s total coffee export value. Compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume increased by 2,971% (30 times), while the value increased by 5,412% (54 times), making Mexico a bright spot in Vietnam’s coffee export picture.
On the domestic market, the price of bucket coffee currently fluctuates around VND 126,000/kg. However, the trend of discounts is appearing due to the supply increased from major production countries such as Brazil and Indonesia.
