According to a recent report by PTEXIM, demand is slowing down in all countries import as big as the US, China and EU…

However, the positive thing is that China has entered the market with white pepper orders due to many reports showing that Hainan Island was heavily affected by super typhoon Yagi. This has led to a decline in white pepper production in China. It is forecast that white pepper supply in China will have difficulty meeting demand in the fourth quarter and for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

PTEXIM said that the market in the past month was quite quiet, buyers were not very interested in pepper products and sales took place very slowly. At the same time, suppliers (farmers, collectors, agents) are very cautious in offering raw materials for sale.

Currently, many domestic agents and manufacturers do not actively sell but prioritize retaining inventory, and they do not feel pressure when prices adjust downward. This is also clearly reflected in the significant decrease in inventories of farmers and intermediaries compared to previous years.
