Mr. Duong Thanh Tung, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that the Department has coordinated with districts to direct the expansion of lychee production areas for export to the Japanese market with 30 growing area codes, area 219.4 ha, yield about 1,800 tons, expected time to harvest lychee for export from May 20 to July 10, 2021.
Up to now, the conditions for lychee production area and fumigation and sterilization have been fully prepared, basically meeting the requirements of the Japanese market.
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has invited 5 businesses to participate in the purchase and export of lychee.
Enterprises include Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd., Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Red Dragon Production, Trading and Service Co. Global Food Import and Export Joint Stock Company and Bamboo Company.
