According to preliminary report data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, pepper exports in June 2023 reached 21,235 tons of pepper of all kinds, down 7,701 tons, or down 26.61% compared to the previous month and down 2,946 tons. , which is a decrease of 12.18% compared to the same period last year.

The value of pepper export turnover in the month reached 76.39 million USD, down 13.14 million USD, or down 14.62% compared to the previous month and down 23.18 million USD, down 23.20% compared to the previous month. in the same period last year.

The cumulative export volume of pepper in the first 6 months of 2023 reached a total of 152,678 tons of pepper of all kinds, an increase of 29,123 tons, or an increase of 23.57% compared to the export volume in the first 6 months of 2022.

Regarding the value of export turnover in the first 6 months of 2023, it reached a total of 483.17 million USD, down 76.54 million USD, or down 13.68% over the same period.

The average export price of pepper in June 2023 reached 3,614 USD/ton, an increase of 16.36% compared to the average export price of May 2023.

China along with the US continues to be the market Vietnam’s leading pepper importer in June, twhile Pearl Group and Nedspice Vietnam are the two largest pepper exporters this month.

Market trade is expected that Vietnam needs about 100,000 tons of pepper of all kinds for export in the remaining 6 months of 2023. Pepper export companies need to import a significant amount of new goods from IPC member countries. adequately meet this need.
